2024 Tac-Con – Rangemaster Tactical Conference

Tac-Con is the premier training event for everyone interested in personal defense. Founded by Tom Givens over two decades ago, Tac-Con brings renowned trainers from across the country together in one place for one weekend.
I am honored to teach at this year's Tac-Con for the first time. I will be presenting a block called “Building a Buffer: The Quiet Eye in Shooting.”
Course Description: Having a surplus of skill to solve any shooting problem is a good thing as it frees up mental bandwidth. This course is an exploration into visual processing during shooting. Our vision informs everything we do and should be the primary feedback tool regarding whether our technique is working or not. We will start by showing you how to begin opening up your awareness, and then we will step through drills designed to build upon that new awareness and teach you how to exercise more intentional control over how and what you see. This will allow you to process and interpret data more effectively leading to better shooting and better decision making as well.
